💡 "The Sunday Reset — Why AI Can't Choose Your Next Chapter"

It's Sunday. The week behind you is a museum exhibit. The week ahead is a blank canvas. So you do what the modern human does: you ask AI to help you 'set intentions for next week.'

It generates a beautiful framework. SMART goals. Weekly themes. Habit trackers. A reflection prompt that sounds suspiciously like every other reflection prompt. It's comprehensive, well-structured, and completely misses the point.

Here's what AI doesn't know: that last Tuesday you snapped at someone you care about because you were running on four hours of sleep. That the project you spent twelve hours on wasn't the project that mattered. That the reason you're dreading Monday isn't about workload — it's about meaning.

AI can analyze your patterns. It can't decide which pattern to break.

The Move:

Before asking AI anything, answer one question yourself — in writing, not in your head:

What's one thing I keep doing every week that I know isn't working — and what would happen if I simply stopped?

Don't ask AI to help you answer. Don't ask it to brainstorm alternatives. Just sit with the question until it makes you uncomfortable. That discomfort is the Sunday reset. Everything else is decoration.

If you want, after you've answered, ask AI one thing: 'Here's what I'm stopping. Here's why. What am I not seeing?' Not for permission. For blind spots.

Why it matters:

- AI optimizes the week you describe. It can't question whether that's the week you should be living.
- The most important weekly decision isn't what to add — it's what to subtract.
- Sunday is the hinge between who you were and who you're choosing to be next. That's not an optimization problem. It's a human one.
- AI can build a better plan. Only you can build a better intention.

> 'AI can optimize next week in 2 seconds flat. It still can't tell you whether next week is worth optimizing.'
