💡 "The Wednesday Comparison — Why AI Makes a Terrible Measuring Stick"

It's Wednesday. The week's hinge. You're halfway through, and somewhere in the last 48 hours, you watched AI do something in 3 seconds that would have taken you 3 hours. And a thought crept in: Am I even good at this anymore?

The most toxic habit in the AI era: using AI's output as a benchmark for your own worth. Comparing your thinking to AI's output is like comparing your handwriting to a printing press. The printing press wins — and it still doesn't know why the words matter.

The Move: Catch yourself comparing. When AI output stings, reframe: AI could never do what I did to get here either. The messy draft, the awkward conversation, the judgment about what to include — those are the human moves AI can't make.

Why it matters:
- AI is a tool, not a competitor. Tools don't make you lesser — unless you measure yourself against them.
- The comparison trap is self-erasure dressed up as humility.
- The people who thrive alongside AI don't compete with it. They use it to amplify the things only humans bring.

> "AI can outwrite you, outcode you, and outsummarize you before your coffee is cold. It still can't tell you why any of it mattered."
