💡 "The Editing Advantage"

AI is a prolific generator. You are the editor. That's not a downgrade — that's the power seat.

Most people feel replaced when AI writes faster than they do. But generation was never the bottleneck. Judgment was. The world doesn't suffer from a shortage of words, ideas, or code. It suffers from a shortage of taste, discernment, and the courage to say "this isn't good enough."

The Move:
Take something AI generated for you this week — an email, a summary, a chunk of code. Read it like a critic, not a consumer. Find the bland sentence. The generic phrasing. The safe, forgettable middle section. Rewrite one paragraph yourself. Not because AI can't — but because your version says something AI wouldn't.

Why it matters:
- AI produces the first draft; humans decide if it ships.
- The skill of the future isn't "can AI write this?" — it's "is this worth reading?"
- Editing demands you understand the material, the audience, and the standard. AI can only approximate one of those three.

> "AI can write a thousand lines without getting tired. It still can't tell you which line mattered."
